Fall Colors in Oregon

That first road is Siuslaw River Rd. roughly at mile marker 28. Not real crowded at that end. Wolf Creek Rd. is a better paved road, just no places to stop and take pics. SRRd is paved, but a bit goaty in places.

Re: The FJR.

My parter and I are both relatively new to riding; we started in '03, and started on cruisers. After putting in some time, Karyn decided she wanted a sportier bike, and we got the FZ1. There are some height and ergonomic issues with the FZ1 plus her like for full fairings and hard bags. Alas, someone must ride it...OK, pick me!!

A co-worker of mine has an FJR, Karyn rode it and loved it, so we've been looking off and on for one for about 8 months. Found an 05 with many extras for 5100 and bought it about a week ago. Same inseam challenge issues, but the ergos are much better for her.

More fall colors, I guess... We took advantage of a 50 degree day with no rain, and headed for the Oregon Coast.

Put 150 miles on the bikes, the last 50 in the dark, but it was well worth it!
