EXUP Eliminator Codes?

I'm planning on eliminating the CAT and also disconnecting the EXUP on a GEN II FZ1. It seems (by what I've read here) that it makes no difference in torque or smoothness on a GEN II (please correct me if I'm wrong)

For "clean-up" purposes, I'd like to remove not just the EXUP cables but the unit itself (cleaner appearance) and I've read here in the archives, that the EXUP Eliminator plug needs to be used to avoid EXUP error codes.

My question is whether installing this plug will tell the system everything's ok, or will some other codes pop up because some proper feedback is now absent?

Any experience with this anyone?

I removed the cables but left the exup motor in place. its well hidden and the space taken by the motor is not really that useful unless you want to mount an external shock resevoir in that location. If you really want to remove the motor, just purchase an exup plug from ebay for approx $50 but it is money better spent elsewhere imho.

Cheers

I have both the Powercommander III and the Ignition Module where the stock servo used to reside. This leaves more storage space under the passenger seat (where one typically installs the PC and IM) for tools etc.
