So as some of you know already that my rotor threw its magnets. (New rotor and bearings ordered too) That meant I had to drop the sump to remove any magnet fragments. Well you need to take off the headers to drop the sump yes. Well 4 exhaust studs, the outside ones came off easy after soaking them in ATF/acetone 50/50 % mix for two days. Unfortunately the inner two cylinders studs are still stuck tight. Now only 3 as ive just snapped one grrr. I'm waiting for a stud extractor to be delivered via the post at the moment. It's the drill chuck type extractor if you know that one, I'm hoping it's going to work too.
Has any of you guys had problems with broken or stubborn studs??
In the mean time I've ordered a set of quality stainless steel studs, nuts, and washers to replace the OEM ones.
Cheers guys
