I understand that the EFI system on the 2006 FZ1 was defective. Have they solved the problem; and if so what model? Thanks for any information that anybody might have.

once again... sweeping generalization... '06's were known to have problems with a throttle "snatch" ... that got improved on in 07+ .... lots of folks fit a FCE from Ivan's Performance, that apparently fixes the problem...

My 08 is smooth, not sure about 07s. Easily fixed anyway by all accounts and they are brill bikes.

The guy is a new member and I think he has a valid question. Maybe just responding with exactly what some owners complained about would suffice. In any event, by 2008 the fuel delivery seems to be spot on.
