Well, with the exception of the puny Honda:yes:, I commend you on being loyal to your brand. The 97' was definitely a hot bike.

It's funny actually how I got started with the Yamaha's...came down to just wanting to be different. My cousin had a VFR 750 and my other two riding friends had a CBR 1000 and a ZX-7 respectively. As you can see my '88 FZR1000 was definitely different. Oh and the fastest of them all :D

Yup, at Firebird raceway in Phoenix. A passing rider hit my front wheel and I went into speed wobbles and was flung off.

I sold the bike back in '89. Sure was a great bike, I wish I still had one.

The only part that was broken was the clutch lever.

Here it is

Completely unmolested, stock and original except for tires, brake pads, and fork seals. Engine never apart, cleaning instruction sticker still on the wind shield. Got it from the original owner.

Okay, now I'm drooling! Back in 86', I had the chance to buy a Yellow/Black edition RZ350 from my friend. He had that and a 1985 Suzuki GS550E. Both bikes were mint. Of course me not really thinking chose the GS instead. Man if I could do it over again!

After the GIXXER was stolen I was without two wheels until this, my Adventure 150cc scoot. Got me back into cycling.

Then after 2400 miles the scoot had to go. I was BACK baby! He's the 750 Shadow. I actually won first prize at a bike show with this bike. So what if there was only 3 entries. LOL
