Those bloody things require so much work!

I can't even go a day without my chain needing to be lubed! Stupid rain! Stupid chains! Stupid dirty chains! Aarghhh!:cry:

I need a shaft drive bike!

I've been a big fan of the R1200R for a while

I'm sure you can get a nice HD up in Canada. Those are all shaft drive. Maybe a SOA Dyna Sport Glide.

If you want to stay with the awesome Jap bikes then check out. M13's pimping video for Scottoiler auto chain oiler

I'll bet I hate chains just as much as you do. I almost bought the r as I know when set up right there aren't many bikes that can keep up with the Beemer in the twisty's on real roads.
When my body says I'm too old for the KTM I suspect a r1200r will be in my garage.

I've always liked the look of the R1200R and I'm more and more interested as time goes on. Maybe when I'm all done with the 919 :)

The whole suspension system that bike uses intrigues me :)

The Hyperstrada is still top of my list

Dude the seat pan on that Beemer looks like a recliner or like one of those rocking horses kids have. Has anyone sat on one? Oh well looks like another reason for me to go up to the motorcycle dealership. They may have the Hyperstrada in they were supposed to get as well.

It's a solid chain lubrication system.

I'm wondering if your chain really needs all that lube. Maybe the lube you are doing is attracting dirt and creating a very messy chain.
The modern chains are sealed lubricated. Not like the old chains that actually had to be lubed often. These new chains are sealed.
So.. I'm thinking you may just be adding a lot of goo to the chain which is picking up a lot of road dirt - making your chain a mess.

Try thoroughly cleaning your chain - and maybe just a light spray of WD-40.
Or buy a BMW - if that is what this is really about... They are nice bikes.

go for the bimmer you get crazy mpg, abs brakes with servo are INSANE.. and no stupid chain !!!! also the final drive costs more then your honda..:ugh:

thats true, bmw makes the best stopping bikes, and good brakes are a very good reason to buy a bike...

but there is also a down side to it : if you ride a bike which you can hit the front brake in a downhill of camber corner without running an inch wide of your line, you might develop a very bad muscle memory. (like unnecessary use of the front brake, weakening throttle control ect.)

because you have no feedback you never know the limits, that said reaching thoose limits is another story, it's very hard to crash them but if you do you usualy do it big time...

... also the clutch and the gearbox can drive you crazy, so go for a longer test ride if you can before you make up your mind.
