Damaged sub throttle plate shaft.

Hello Everyone,

I have somewhat of a serious problem on my hands. I recently completed the flies mod and made a critical error. When I was removing the last screw, my brand new screw driver stripped it. So I used my dremel to cut a slit, and then I let it jump... which cut a piece of the butterfly shaft. I proceeded to freak out and curse up a storm. Then after some thinking I finished trimming the flies and started to reassemble. I used tried and true JB weld with a new screw. I completely trust the joint, but I can't sleep properly until it gets fixed right. Considering this shaft can not be bought new anywhere, any thoughts on using the shaft from a 04-06 R1 throttle body set? I can purchase the whole throttle body set for 60 bucks. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Unless you think there's more than a 0.1% chance something may come loose and get sucked into the engine, I'd leave it alone. Otherwise, you'll probably have to pick up a throttle body assembly off eBay or something.

I would imagine the shaft from the 04-06 R1 engine would fit. The thing that you'll have to contend with is now removing all those little screws w/o damaging anything.
