cure for hot seat

go to a welding supply store & purchase a 12x12in thermal blanket. you lay it under the seat pan in the hole or attach it to the pan itself. these are non conductive felt material & are protective for over 3,000 degrees F. simple & cheap. i have no idea why Yamaha put the voltage reg/rectifier under the seat & i think that is the heat source.

Thanks for sharing your tip on how to cure hot seat. About the rectifier location, I think the reason for this would be protection from getting wet and air ventilation.
