Could I get an FZ1 to work for me?

That looks really nice, and up here that would be a steal! Not crazy about the HUGE windshield, but that is easy to fix.

He has a smoked one too that is stock height. I will try both and see. As a replacement for my Sporty (older pic below) it should offer more of what I want.

"world's Best All-Rounder"

Pardner, I would go so far as to say that there really is no comparison between your HD and the FZ. I've ridden a long time, and had the opportunity to ride a lot of different bikes. my TEN YEAR OLD 04 still amazes me, and I think that if you ride an FZ1, your path will be clear. Cheap insurance, too

After a good 45min test ride I think I may have found as close to a perfect deal as I am going to get. It is tall, but not bad, and takes my input extremely well for a 500# bike. It also was cheap enough to not be a huge risk if it doesn't work out. The brakes firmed up as I rode, and I was extremely pleased with the power output (to say the least). The way it is so calm and docile down low and a raging animal up high is so like I wanted in a bike.

So a new (to me) 2002 FZ1 has been added to the garage. Slip on exhaust, fender delete, Corbin seat, and a taller wind screen (a smoke stock height one was included) already done. I must say I think it will serve me well. I will find out when I do my next ARTD in three weeks.

Of course, this would be worthless without pics right?

Please note that it isn't a patch on my Sporty in comfort and I won't forsake it for the new. My wife will make a faithful new pilot for him.
