I bought a Corbin seat as an extra to my FZ1 purchase and tried to install it yesterday. Problem being, there is two screws/bolts 1/2 way (between driver/pass.) sticking out and I couldn't figure out for the life of me how I was supposed do tighten this thing down. I checked out some newer Corbin seats, and it looks like those two mystery bolts are missing the 'latch' portion that locks in when you turn the helmet lock key on the side when installing/uninstalling factory seat..

You need to swap the seat clip. Corbin is also very snug when on bike so make sure it is latched in at tank before riding away.
Enjoy probably the best money I have spent in bike so far is Corbin

What he said, I have one as well and it is an L shaped bracket that bolts to the seat. It's a great seat, enjoy!
