Clicking when trying to jump

Hi Guys, I am new to this forum so I hope I don't break any protocol!

I have a FZ1 which I haven't started for 1.5 to 2 years :( (long story). I am sure that there are many maintenance things that need done, but to start off I tried to jump my bike from a friends (Ninja 650) and when I start my bike all the electrical stuff comes on, but then I get a very fasted paced clicking - is this because there isn't enough power coming from his battery?

Secondly, I have had the same gas in there this whole time; is there any conceivable chance that this gas will actually start the bike? Any suggestions for this problem?

Thanks for the help.

If it's clicking it's most definitely a stuffed battery. The fuel having sat there for that long could cause you more problems. I would drain it and put in some fresh petrol.

Also check battery fittings for corrosion and tighten them. If you have corrosion, or if the connections are not tight, the juice from the jump battery can't pass through, But the click-click is definitely battery.
