Hi,
Well I have had my 2002 FZ1 since the beginning of April.
I am doing what i usually do with a new to me vechile. I am
enjoying servicing my new toy. I spent many years riding a 79CBX, now at a young age of 70 I still have many years of
riding to go. i have so far serviced the cooling system, changed the oil and filter and synronised the carbs. I have also changed out the stock fairing for a tall Gustafusson fairing. I would recommend it to any one.My only complaint is of course my helmet is not a perfect design I get some turbulence. i live in the high country of British Columbia in Logan Lake. The next two projects will be the chain and sprokets and changing my tires myself.
Now a question to you experts. I live at an elevation of 3600 feet- most of my riding is in th range from 1800 3600 feet. I am very pleased with the performance of the bike except for it's cold startup. Is it a worth while mod for me to do Ravenrider's "jet kit" ? Would the bike run a lot smoother on the low end. I am not looking for any top speed.
