Can you name this part?

When I collected my Fazer the dealer gave me a box of bits which has standard exhaust etc etc. In the box was this bit the the dealer couldn't identify.

Can anyone tell me what it is please? :dontknow:

I thought it may have been a spacer from the rear wheel assembly....but after some research I don't think so now! Bugger!!
 
This is my first alloy framed bike. After thinking about it it makes sense to have a thicker mounting surface to stop wear. Just my guess. If you know I defer to your knowledge.
 
It's the top of the bearings in the frame plate of the steering wheel
Is just below the central nut and goes when changing over plate ... :flash:

Yeah, Petani. That's a good call - if it were to be something from an FZ1. But the shape doesn't look quite right and it looks too large and heavy duty for an FZ1. But it is a bearing race - top or bottom half - from something. Maybe a truck.
