I recently bought a VIOFO MT1 dash cam for my 2012 FZ1S, and I'm looking for a way to safely route the rear camera cable to the unit location under the seat. I have the stock tail section / license plate holder, and I think I have found a location under the tail light that I can mount the camera, but I don't see any place to route the camera cable up into the area under the seat.
Has anybody here installed a similar system? Any suggestions for routing? I generally avoid doing any drilling, but from what I am seeing, that may be by only option. It looks like I'll have to find a way to seal off any holes I create as well. I can see inserting a rubber grommet the size of the cable, but I would have to stretch it around the coupler (about double the size of the actual cable.
