Hello everybody!
After more years than it should have been, am back with a 2013 FZ1! Picked it up this past Tuesday, 4/23.
Looking forward to enjoying the forum and sharing information with everybody!

Previous Yamaha's: '75 XS500 --> 1st bike! -- Vision 550 -- Seca 650 -- RZ350 -- FJ1100
(some of the pics are from a while ago -- sorry about the quality -- but they were mine!)

:welcome: :noworries: Those were some of my dream bikes I wanted when I was growing up. I'm just glad you didn't have an RZ500 or I would have been so jealous I wouldn't have spoken to you. :jk:

I think you'll love the FZ1. There are plenty of mods to make it even better, but the stock version isn't bad at all. I'm glad you got the fastest color too! Now cobalt blue was offered in '07, '09 and '13. I really like the blacked out rear on the '12 and '13. :thewave:

I'd love to hear your comparison to some of your previous bikes, the mods you make and more pictures and video if possible. Enjoy and stay safe!

Welcome.

I re-entered recently as well with a new 2012 Pearl White FZ1.

It's my first new bike since 1976. Prior to that I had a Puch Moped, Honda Cub 50, BSA Hornet, Honda CB305, Suzuki 250 Enduro, Suzuki GS750 and GS1000. I can say that there have been a lot of progress in the past 30 years and this FZ1 is the best. I made all the mods I plan to by replacing the windscreen with a GIVI D437S. The bike just rides great the way it is.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Finally was able to ride some this weekend. I needed to get a forward footpeg mounted on the right side -- my right hip does not like the foot/leg position at all.

Love the bike, can't wait till it's broken in to really be able to enjoy it.
OneSizeFitsAll --> so far the engine is far and away better... that RZ350 sure was fun though! The Vision 550 was surprisingly fast and handled well.
I didn't get to ride the FJ100 all that long before I had to stop riding.
But so far, the FZ1 is light years ahead of my previous bikes... that RZ350 sure was fun though! :sinister:
