any clutch cable slack

How much are you raising the bars? I think the stock clutch cable can accommodate a 1-1.5" raise, but that's about it. No slack under the tank from what I remember...
 
My FZ8 bars are about 2" higher and no problem with the clutch cable. I do however have the lever angled down a bit. I checked by fitting and then turned the bars lock to lock while I had a finger on the bottom end lever, the part that gets moved by the cable. No movement.
 
i would like to raise them 2" but thats not gonna happen maybe i can raise1.5" but its gonna be close because the angle going into clutch perch
 
i ordered a +2" cable from motion pro $40 i figured better safe than sorry thanks for the help
