All done, the R1 is ready to go.

SS bikes make no sense unless you are on a track or in the twisties. The ergos just make me miss my FZ1 even more even during a 10 mile commute.

Actually I find the ergos better on the R1 than i do on the FZ1. I have only ridden the FZ1 about three times since I bought the R1.

Hey Kris, if I had so many awesome twisties in my backyard then I won't complain about the SS ergos either. Here it is 40 miles to any decent twisties ... Having said that, a SS bike won't be my only bike.

I hear ya! I was just trying to communicate my surprise with how comfortable my R1 is. It's definately more comfortable than my 07 GSXR 600 was. I thought they would be more similar then they are. Anyway good luck with your SS!

The daytona that I am after has the worst ergos probably. R1 and GSXRs are more comfy liter SS bikes out there... not sure about the CP version though....

Surprisingly enough the wind on my chest keeps pressure off my wrists at cruising speed more than I expected. Really only feel a little uncomfortable on my "boys" so far.

Bought a new Zero Gravity SR windscreen......hated th DB that was on it (too much head buffeting).

Got the new seat covers in the mail today so the wife and I spent 1 1/2 hours on that job. I AM NOT an upholsterer thats for sure! It wasn't easy.

Put 600ish miles on it this weekend, 350 yesterday and 250 something this morning. Who says SS ergo's are only good for an hour at a time?! Got home and washed the 20 lbs of bug guts off that I collected.
