Sorry for asking and sounding dumb.
What is the job of the AIS hose and if I block it off would it affect something like the crankcase breather or someting that would be bad for the engine?

AIS allows filtered air into the exhaust side of the engine to help burn any left-over fuel that sneeks out of the cylinders. If you change silencers and don't plug the AIS, you will probably hear popping when you let off the throttle from medium to high rpm.

But, like most good things, it is not legal for street bikes, blah, blah, blah, . . . .

And, it doesn't affect the crankcase breather. That is the tube attached to the rear center of the airbox. There's a separate mod for that tube.
