AIS plugging

Using block off plates or plugging the AIS hose should yield the same results. In other words, if you have popping with AIS hose plugged you will have popping with block off plates installed. Unless you plugged wrong hose or didn't plug it fully.

As far as the AIS pump burning up. I don't believe it is an actual pump. It is listed in the parts catalogue as a valve. A valve would just open and close to allow fresh air to enter exhaust stream through vacuum.

So if using block off plates or plugging the AIS hose is suppose to stop the popping but doesn't what's the point?

When installed my block off plates, it was night and day difference. No more popping on decel.. Not 1 pop... On my daytona, after installing the block off plates. I still had the same amount of popping... I had it dyno tuned and from 7500 rpm and above, I had no popping on del... Anything below 7500 rpm I still had popping... what I found was adding 3% more fuel from 0 to 1% throttle position and from 3000 to 7500 rpm and now I rarely get any popping...
