I just put swing arm spools on my 14 Z1k. They are too short and I scratched my swing arm . While looking at it I notice if they were any longer the exhaust would hit when the suspension fully compresses. I thought surely not. I conducted a "Google" search and "I'll be damned" there is a ton of folks that dented there exhaust up and actually broke off the swing arm spool brackets. This is common on the last 2 Generation models as well as the Ninja 1k! The solution from other folks on the Z forum is to buy large spools and remove them each time, or buy aftermarket exhaust. I bought longer bolts and a few washers so now I can lift it without hitting the swing arm, but I will have to remove it after each use.

I bought the FZ1 because it has a center stand like my Ninja 500. Should be standard equipment on street bikes just like electric start.
