2005 FZ1 starts dies immediately

I'm new to this forms thing so I don't know if I'm posting this in the right spot not very computer savvy anyhow when I turn the key on the tack will go to 9,000 RPM and stay for 2 seconds return to zero for 6 seconds and back to 9,000 again it did it at least 10 times before I turn the key off when I start the bike it runs for approximately one second and then shuts off I am a mechanic but not a bike mechanic so to speak doesn't seem like it's gas to me I believe it's in the ignition I unplugged the tip sensor made no difference at all any ideas would be appreciated thanks again

First of all, if you can get your hands on an OEM Repair manual, that would be your best source of information on diagnostics. Even the Clymer manual I had was missing this information. Just doing a quick search for "2005 Yamaha FZ1 Repair Manual" I found this one that you can download for $15. I can't say anything about it from personal experience, but the views shown do look like an OEM manual. https://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/221274514-2005-yamaha-fz1-motorcycle-service-manual?a=506906

I have a different version that may help. Here is the information I found in the one I have. I hope this helps!!
First, what do the tachometer codes mean?

The 9000 rpm indication shows it is related to the "Emargency" stop switch.

Diagnosis:
"Is the wire harness OK?" sounds daunting, but at least they highlighted the specific wires to check for continuity.
