0xygen sensor removal ?

Does anyone have any tips on removing and installing an o2 sensor from the header? I have never done this before and i have a knack for messing perfectly good/ expensive stuff !!

Hey Lonney, run over to Harbor Freight and pick up the O2 Sensor socket. It makes it a 30 second job and no way to damage the sensor. There are two sizes. They are so cheap, I'd get them both and throw them in the box for future stuff.

I just did had to do this installing a Yoshimura full exhaust system. I had no trouble using an ordinary wrench and letting the electrical cable wind up as I loosened the sensor. When it came time to reinstall the sensor, I manually wound the sensor cable by hand before threading it into the sensor bung, but CCW so it would unwind the electrical cable as it was tightened back together.

Use a tab of anti-seize on the sensor's threads before you reassemble.

I got lucky they loosened up with a smack on the wrench .
