Hello, new member and relatively new FZ1 owner here. I have been having some issues with my bike and it is currently not running.
Bike is an 06 FZ1 with 27,XXX miles. Last fall the bike died while I was riding and would not restart. I replaced the battery and the bike would run, but at a low idle. I was able to ride the bike but it suffered from low idle, weak starting, low power, and stalling. I have replaced the battery, rectifier, spark plugs, ignition coils, and air filter. The gas is from last fall so a little old but not so old it wouldn't let the bike run.
Last time the bike was running I was playing with the idle adjustment screw to try and raise the idle. I may have accidentally backed the screw out too far. Currently the bike wont run unless you give it throttle. My bike mechanic friend suggested it could potentially be valve clearance. Any suggestions would be welcome.
