Doing some vinyl in the near future so it won't be all matte black. I didn't push it hard enough to feel the difference in transitions (also coming off of an R6 so it will be hard to compare) also the wheels are Magnesium. Pretty light from the factory.
Went to Jennings in Florida to get a feel for the 16 R1 and all I can say is wow. After riding and racing an R6 for the last couple of year I have some adjusting to do. It literally feels like the R6 on turn in and transitions but feels more stable mid corner. Oh the power is ridiculous. The...
If you go this route, Dynojet now makes a single two way switch. If you have a regular quick shifter sell it and get the two way so you aren't stacking switches. It only a couple of dollars more than the standard.

On the 07 I don't believe you can gain that by flashing but you can still have that ECU flashed to unlock a lot of stuff(like directly pinning a quick shifter into it). I think the same auto blip unit for the R6 works on the R1. I'll see what information I can find out in the next day or two.
Will do.Im going to sell the translogic stuff in a bit. Im going to use a different flash Which will enable auto blip through the ECU. With the flash you can do multiple shifts at once. With the translogic you can only do one at a time.
Carbs need a thorough sonic cleaning. Just spraying with carb cleaner is not enough. Other things to check. Condition of the boots, diaphragm, any rubber seals and vacuum hose's
This makes me sad. I like Folger and hope he is able to return. Sitting out a season isn't good for ones career. To much competition for seats these days. Ive been trying to figure out who might get that seat but no one is really standing out, in my mind.
Well this season Ill be racing and coaching on a 2016 R1. I built it for a customer at a shop I work for. He fell on hard times so I got it at a steal. 2016 1,450 miles. Armour Bodies body work, Brembo 19x18, Brembo T Drive rotors, Translogic Qs Auto blip and pit lane warm up,Evol tech rear sets...
