    I'll be sure to post my findings next time I lift the tank. I wonder if using a Power Commander throws these settings out the window...or do the CO settings also alter the PCIII percentages?

    Do I go with the 2006 or 2007?

    I picked up an '06 with 5,250 miles a month ago for $4500 and they're selling new 08's for under $7000 at a dealer in Minnesota. With the reports of cracked frame welds on a few 06's and the improved ECU of the 07....I'd buy the '07 if I had a choice.

    I live in Austin Minnesota where all the Spam is canned...sorry. Don't have an FZ1 yet but am looking high and low for a gen 2 within 200-300 miles of me. Had many bikes in my youth but went from about 1981 to 2001 without. Bought a new 2001 Yamaha Road Star and have logged 85,000 miles on it...
