    PapaGeno21's Build Thread...

Papa the bike looks fantastic.....and with all that black it looks like it is doing a 100mph sitting still. I do think that you should spend less time working on the baby and concentrate on your lawn, I noticed it is not lush fairway green yet

    Lightening up 02 FZ1

This is too funny, when I lived out west the guys were weight obcessed with there mountain sleds. They would drop thousands to shave 5 or 8 lbs, what was even crazier was that they would then proceed to load a 6 or 8 beers into there back pack.....lol go figure. I say this all the time whether...

    Let's talk about a new bike... :)

If you owned a Gen 1 I think you would be disappointed power wise with the FZ8. I drove one and would not trade my Gen 1 for an 8 but then again you went from a Gen 1 to a SV 650 so maybe not a big deal. You should get out and put miles on all you are considering then choose, I would never buy...

Don't test ride a Ducati you will fall in love.

Check out you tube for the Pikes Peak run Ducati used MS's for that race and did very well. I have a friend that is a Yamaha / Ducati / BMW / Trumiph mechanic and he said the MS is a great bike. He rated bikes as follows #1 BMW 1000RR, #2 Duc MS, #3 Yamaha R1 All of these had almost no...

thinking of buying 2002 FZ1 with 78000 miles

I would change them if they are cracked. While I was waiting for my new ones to arrive I coated the cracks with Silicone on mine to be on the safe side as if they crack right though it will create a lean condition. NOT good. Cannot remember what I paid for them but labour on the work was $ 150.00

thinking of buying 2002 FZ1 with 78000 miles

Wow and I thought Winnipeg was bargin central, I have an 01 in mint shape with 30,000 miles and would not even consider a nickle less than 4 grand. I have seen many first Gen's here sell in the past couple of years all over 4 G's. Think about it if the bike is maintaned and up to date the...

Thanks was thinking about that also as it has been smoking hot for weeks here (30 to 40 degress C). Also question about route, it is about a 100 km less taking some secondary highways and google maps says about an hour quicker than doing all interstates, what is the perferred route? Always...
