    luggage suggestions

you'd be surprised how much stuff can fit in a tank bag. i've done many trips with just a tank bag, all you need is a few pairs of socks, underwear and a spare shirt or two, toothbrush, small can of plexus and microfiber towel for your visor and a small can of wd40 to soak the chain with every...

    New Member - '13 Fz1, any advise?

Get your ECU flashed. I recommend 2 Wheel DynoWorks but others will mention VCyclenut and Ivans Performance. Modifications don't matter, it's not a superbike, whatever you end up doing is for funsies as it's not a performance bike. Just enjoy it. And no, it won't be constantly lifting the...

    New Product for the Gen2

if you're looking to make money on it, which you should, you should pick some not dead model bikes lol the fz1 is a dead bike, look to the newer flagship models, or if you really wanna, look to ducati's, they'll pay a ton and love to spend money on bar end mirrors on their bikes to look cool.

    Suspension

I swapped mine with a 2008 R1 front end. Works beautifully. Swapped springs for my weight and haven't looked back, handles road and track perfectly. keep in mind you will need to get the brake calipers and rotors and that they are a little shorter than the fz1 front end so it'll be a little...

    Gen II Mods? Start here!

K&N won't add hp, the benefit is you can clean and re-oil it, instead of just buying new OEM filters. Cutting open the airbox intake inlet will let in more air and does need to be tuned to take advantage of the extra air and get you more hp. if you get a quality flash, you won't need a PCV. if...

    New Battery Problem

you need to do diagnostic testing. if you have a new battery dead, take it back where you bought it to swap it out under warranty. sounds like you aren't getting a charge. but again, all this can be tested with the right tools and you need to do so to determine where the issue is.

Miss at idle and low rpm

yeah when you go in and say hey why was their oil in the freaking coolant eh? you gotta fix this or i need my money back. you'll probably get your money back because it's probably cheaper for them than fixing it so be prepared for that option as well fyi Yamaha FZ1 Owners Association (FZ1OA)...

Power commander map for my 2006 FZ1

you need to go to a dyno tuner and have them build you a custom map. otherwise it's like playing darts in the dark as to which map will work or won't.

    Butterflies and Throttle Hesitation

Put stock flies back on, should fix the issue, it's letting air past when it's not supposed to. Most ecu flash tuning I've seen shows stock flies work best.
