Yea, mine is pretty much the same. And it's probably one of the reasons I didn't like the short levers on my bike.
I actually see that some people run a shorty brake lever and a long clutch lever...go figure.
Yea, the FZ1 transmission seems to be particularly sensitive to the mileage of the motor oil. I can always tell when it's getting close to an oil change just by the way it shifts.
What he posted is just a license plate holder, not a fender eliminator. I suppose you can just remove the entire stock fender if using the plate holder that attaches to the rear axle.
I agree 100%. A shifter that's not adjusted properly will lead you miss shifts or make it harder to shift.
Also as others have mentioned it's a relatively new bike so give it a few hundred miles for the shifting to improve.
Yea, I'm pretty sure we'll see a 1050-1100 cc triple soon enough. Triumph's Speed Triple is one of my favorite bikes. Hopefully it will be something along those lines :D
I would keep the EXUP. The cable is not that expensive to replace and if the valve isn't "frozen" in place then a new cable (and proper adjustment) will have the bike running great again.
Well I'm not sold on the styling yet, but I'm looking forward to a test ride next year. I'm guessing I'll like the riding position, but the power might be somewhat lacking.
Well you could try cleaning out the switch and connections with some electrical contact cleaner. However, I suspect a new switch might be in your future.
I could be wrong, but I think a lot more engineering dollars went into that YZ450F than the FZ-09.
Also sometimes manufacturers will under price a new model to gain market share. Maybe Yamaha can sell as many YZ450F's at that price as it can already produce :dontknow:
Well now Pedrosa crashed pretty hard as well. Not sure if he'll race on Sunday or not. Either way he'll start from 12th position and with the injury he might not be a factor.
Marquez looks fast once again. If the rain holds off tomorrow he just might have a good chance of winning another one...
Bummer :(
Would really suck for him if he needs to be operated on again, but I guess that's the risk that he was taking with racing so soon after the original injury.
