I just did my first track day yesterday at the Firebird Main track (Phx AZ), and did just fine - of course, I ran in the beginner class... I did scrape the pegs a time or two though. I'm sure a rider with more track experience will find more limits then I did.

Of all the things the owners manual suggests, I've found that besides oil (and don't switch to synthetic yet!) adjusting the chain is most important. A good lube of the clutch cable falls next in line.

Has anyone put a stock pipe on another bike? My gf's sv650 has a big ugly tin-can and the stock FZ1 pipe was pretty fancy looking so I'm going to try to put it on. My concern is what to do with the EXUP valves - any suggestions? I gotta put the old pipe to use somehow... Thanks!
