    i may have to try this? I find the stock rear shock brutal.... i have run out of adjustment.. time to try something. Was thinking about Ohlins.,:) But this sounds like its a cost effective mod...thanks!

    Don't Be Shy Now .

    Hi All, I'm just outside Toronto....there's a lack of good roads in my immediate area so the last couple of summers I've been heading south to the USA for some awesome riding through Pennsylvania and Virginia. You guys are so lucky to have those twisties in your back yard! Dan

    Windscreen question

    I would agree with this comment, I had a Zero gravity double bubble that was lower than the stock windscreen, and although I was taking more wind on my chest/body it wasn't directing the air right at my head so it wasn't so bad.

    fastest you've had your fz1???

    how fast? On my new FZ1 (06) which is completely stock tires and all, I've had it up to 223km/h which is 138mph. It was rock solid i just ran out of road. But on my 01 FZ1 i had it up to 260km/h (161mph) a couple of times...Michelin Pilots are awesome! It was on rails!

    "persistence" Your probably right........I do still have the damaged wheel, so I'm going to try again to get some out of warranty satisfaction. I would be happy even to got a portion of my costs covered, or some Yamaha dollars. Thanks for your replies! Dan

    Steering damper, I got head shake,

    Its all about the tires Hey Cooper, I'm not sure if you have resolved your problem yet, but from my experience the head shake is almost always due to your front tire...unless your doing something silly!! I have the stock Michelin Road Pilot on my bike right now as I just got this 06 FZ1...
