Do you have aftermarket bar ends? If so, make sure they are not pinching the throttle tube. I had to use a washer as a spacer on mine.

Finally got my pegs from Outlaw. They are nice quality, come with hardware and were very easy to install.

5w40 and 15w40 are the same viscosity at operating temps. The lower number is when it's cold. That's why it's called multiviscosity oil.:D

Do you have a Power Commander to add fuel also? Hesitation would not be surprising if no fuel was being added with those mods. Temporary fuel starvation?

Apologies for being MIA and not getting back to this thread. I used plain old bearing grease. The only other thing to come close to levers would have been chain wax/cable lube from when I used it to lube the cables. Btw, I wrapped the levers with rags to protect them when I did it.

Got mine in Feb. Was happy with them until the anodizing started coming off. Sent FDB pics and all they said was it must have been due to a chemical reaction, not their fault. Only "chemical" that's come near them was lube. Does this sound right?

Just wanted to add something for those wondering if/why they should do this. Yes, it gets rid of the popping. No, it will not hurt anything. The other reason is that if you ever get a PC and go a to good tuner, they will want it blocked or removed. Allowing fresh air into the exhaust messes...

I don't think the AIS on these bikes is actually a pump. Rather, it relies on vacuum from the exhaust to draw air in. That means the "outlet" side actually is the header. Drawing oil vapor into the exhaust seems like a bad idea. Eventually O2 sensors, catalytic converters (if you have them)...

I think riding the FZ is like a potent drug, and it's got everyone hallucinating different smells. Unfortunately, mine usually smells like burnt cash...

I've emailed Spencer, and while he can't necessarily lower the seat, he doesn't necessarily raise it either. Comfort is achieved by reshaping and inserting a honeycomb material that's supposed to be superior to gel. Maybe he could get your baboon butt to at least not look like it's in heat! Lol

Spencer's will be getting my business very soon I think (as soon as funds recover from other purchases). It should be noted that he does not supply seat covers, but is willing to install one if you send it to him. A totally custom seat for less than a Yami gel? That's what's up...
