The carbs were not synced.. I was hoping I could get away without doing that. Would that explain a rough idle too? I'll check my fuel lines again to make sure that's not what it is, might as well get some better ones too. Thanks

I was planning on changing the fluid anyway, i'll take a look at the caliper when I do that, check the pads etc. Might go with some stainless steel brake lines too. Probably not gonna rebuild it, bike only has 3500 miles. Thanks for all the input!

It's happened a couple times now where I let off the gas and am taken off guard when I realize my rear brake is dragging on me. I pump it a few times, it lets up, then I try braking again and there's no pressure. Try again and all is good. Do i have a leak or something? needs to get fixed cuz...

oil cooler seemed to be making noise too so i took it to the shop, asked him about the idle too and he said it was fine since it was only fluctuating 100-200 rpms but i'm not so sure, still sounds worse than before the race gas and oil cooler.

Had a shop fix it... it was the oil cooler, punched a hole in it and it was shot. bought a filter wrench when i paid the bill, wish I would have done that in the first place, would have saved me 300 bucks.

I drained some of the oil and filled up with 93 premium and it still has a rough idle, i will run that seafoam though and probably change the plugs just to see if it helps

So i put almost a full tank of 110 race gas in my 2001 fz1 to clean out the carbs a bit and it seems to idle rough now, not sure if this is the cause or not, did i fry the plugs? Also had it in the shop cuz i punched a hole in the oil cooler when i used a screwdriver to remove the oil filter...

the filter isn't what's leaking, it's the thing with the gold bolt, across the engine from the filter.
