Front Wheel propping

I don't see a problem with it, wouldn't leave it that way for long. I have put a floor jack under mine with a board and a towel between the pipes and the board to jack up the front end. When it's on the center stand there isn't really that much weight on the jack.

Here is what I do just as a precaution..........

Just a set of regular jack stands under each side of the frame rails. Just rock the bike "back" while on the center stand and have someone slide them in place. Eric (FZ1inNH) turned me on to the "Gallon Paint Can" trick that works just as good. Just do the same on the center stand and slide the paint can underneath. Like "J" said, there isn't a whole lot of weight on the front if the bike is on it's stand.

I bought it as is from Princess Auto, our equivalent to Harbor freight. Sorry I cant take credit for that one. They were rubber coated, the screw out adjustable cups, but the rubber started to peel. I should just re-dip them in stuff for coating tool handles. The brackets have a bolt to tighten them once you position them on the upper plate. It works great for bikes with a under engine frame like the Gen 1's.

You can even skip the jack if you still have the center stand installed. Prop bike up on the center stand. Have someone sit on the passenger seat and front wheel will come off the ground. Prop some 2x4 or 4x4 under the headers and you're good to go. Of course I would looses the front axle before lifting it...

I have to use the jack because i usually don't have a 2nd person to help.
