What did you do to your FZ today?

Rode it today and I topped 9k miles for the year (still need to do final calcs) during this ride. I think this is the last one of the year.

It was pretty cold all day, temps never got above 56 during the ride.

Without my homemade heated gear, I'd've been at home watching TV and reading the forum.

Cruzman was desperate to get a "snow" photo every since we first caught sight of it crossing GA 60 earlier.

I can't decide if I'm getting fat or if all the layers are making me look fat!

I did around 330 miles today, achieving a max altitude of 3,222 ft and max speed of 106 while making a pass.
 
FZ today-- 8^p

Today was fabulous. The weather was great for late December (here in central Indiana) and the FZ was aching to get out and go faaaast !! Rode 'er almost 100 mi. and really hated to pull into the garage for the evening. Yipeeeeeee !!

I'm glad you could get out. :tup: I was too busy to back the beast out of the garage. :frown: I hope the weather holds this weekend. I can get in a few more miles for the year. I rode on New Year's eve last year and hope to do the same this year.

Your bike is looking sharp. Mine needs cleaned. We are thinking of building a new garage soon, and now I want a heated wash bay!

Thanks Troy, I always wipe 'er off and give 'er the once over. It was basically a dry ride, but I could not avoid some puddles here and there.
I am riding with friend's on New Year's eve too. We are headed to Linton,IN for a party from 8 until noon at the BMW shop on the near eastside of town. YOU are welcome to ride over and join the fun ! Great people, and everything there is about motorcycles (all types), and riding them !!
If you decide to ride over, I can send you directions, just pm me. :D
 
I'm also planning to ride tomorrow. Have about 150 miles of state highways through northeast mississippi and northwestern alabama planned and may add more if it's nice out. Supposed to be in the mid 60's and sunny. Looks like i'm getting what i wanted for my b'day this year, to be able to get out and ride.
 
After riding to and from work, I replaced the Front pads on my Bike.

I was shocked at how easy it was. Took like 15 min. Man I love working on bikes, everything is smaller, cleaner and faster than cars n trucks.

Got off at noon, sixty degrees, had to ride. Looking at this pic theres a fender eliminator in my future...

As much as I'd love to meet you in Linton, that's a bit far for me with weather and family stuff. Have a great time and watch out for drunks. You never know how early some people start their parties. I promise to make it to the BMW shop this spring/summer more than once. I'll try to drag my wife and father-in-law with me. My father-in-law is into classic bikes. He has an old Guzzi and a Honda and Yamaha from the 70's/80's era, but he's trading all the time. I never know what he'll have next. I'll get out and ride a bit today, but I'm sure I'll be limited to close to home.

Have a great NEW YEAR everyone! I wish everyone would get to ride everyday. Maybe we'll hear from the Aussies about the future. They'll be in 2012 long before me!
 
Its been awhile since i've really done anything to the FZ that is not general up keep. I just score a Magical Racing screen on Ebay for 100.00 bucks shipped. I've been drooling over other members screens but have not wanted to spend the cash on one but for 100.00 I'd be crazy not to. So If I like it I will be selling my Puig cheap if not I'll pass on the deal of the Magical.
