Ever seen this headlight?

I am looking to replace the front headlight/fairing in the pic below with this headlight because it's hard to see at night with the current bulbs plus I kinda want to make this bike my own as the current headlight was installed by the PO and the wiring looks like crap so I will have to go in there and tidy everything up anyway. I recently got some LED turn signals for the front which I will be installing soon which should hopefully finish off the front (for now).
 
It doesn't look too bad for a $90 headlight, especially with double H3 bulbs. Without actually seeing one in operation it's hard to tell really how well it illuminates the front of the vehicle. The link Adam put up has some interesting alternatives. If price is an issue you'd only lose $90 if it didn't pan out. I think you could figure out a way to get it mounted. It's not going to give much wind protection though.

I have used/seen a few of these cheapo aftermarket headlights and I have never, ever been impressed by the light output. They are often much worse than OEM (which is not that great anyway)
 
Thanks for the link on the interesting alternatives "Bro" but price is where I am stuck at right now, eventually I plan on doing the FZ1-N conversion but that's about six months away and need better lighting now.

I did find a thread where someone had one installed here so I think I may take the plunge. I plan on using a universal fork tube bracket off of Ebay which looks like it may work for under $20. I'm not too worried about wind protection as I do not get it now as it is with the windscreen.

Agreed. It looks like some sort of Acerbis or knockoff version of the diamond or cyclops headlight. I've used several on my supermotos over the years and they are not very good quality. Horrible light output and flimsy materials. They do look cool though and that's why they sell so many of them.

I also tried the higher quality Trailtech X2 HID what was impressively bright, but it kept burning out the ballasts and I got fed up with it. I think they improved the design lately though. I used an Aztec 8 dual headlight setup on my SV1000 and it was well built and had plenty of light output...
 
The best headlight made is on the new BMW 1600 which operates from a fork servo and "looks around" corners. Great for twisties at night.
