Progression of Lunacy....a pictorial documentary and random discussion

Adam.... WOW.

for the radiator... blow it out from both sides with some compressed air... then, you can gently take a brush to the fins as long as you run with the direction of the fins.... those things bend easy, and it's a pain to sit there and straighten fins with a dental pick....

Just the one side of the Gilles Rearsets.....Both sides are scratched, from the previous owner, but snagged these beauts from Fleabay for a fraction of the cost over new.

I now have them all the way up/back (look out Rossi.....)

Finally, the Titanium MIVV GP Shorty -- I also p/u a aftermarket hanger b/c the previous owner had eliminated the passenger left. Besides, my wife said she would not ride on the back with me EVER!

And here is the other side for the Gilles Rearset --

But just clean the fins out -- or do the above and then lightly paint?

Or clean the fins, and paint the sides and call it good??

you can paint the sides.... use some nice High-Temp engine paint... but.. no. don't pain the fins.... just clean them up... if they have a little corrosion, you can get a brass or aluminum bristled detailing brush from Auto Zone and clean that corrosion off... but stay away from the paint.

Well, just thought of somehting else that I'll have to add to the growing list....get the exhaust ceramic coated....

.....I'm ready to check into bellevue now....

yes, the header.....afraid I might alter the finish of the MIVV?? I have no plans of touching the factory Titanium MIVV finish.....I just need to find another slip-on to replace....

Let's make a deal -- for extras parts if you don't want to have any down time.....:deal:

silver fairing -- with minor road rash on the left side
clean blue tank (seen in first post)
clean Blue tail (seen in first post)

hmmmm that is tempting.... but... with the wedding coming up... money is non-existent right now... maybe after sept 12th if you still have things lying around... but don't hold them for me or anything...

After sept 12th... it's game on... hopefully new exhaust... AK20's.... all sorts of fun stuff.

Congratulations! When is the official date?

have you picked out your patterns and floral arrangements?

Adam

oh, and I'll have two sets soon to part with....

(2) sets of tank/rear (blue -- clean) and skunk with tank PDR repair and minor rash on tail)
(1) upper fairing

Sorry Adam, I did get to check out the washer/bolt combo and it does work good. I just didn't get a chance to snap any photos to better illustrate what I mean. I promise tomorrow to get that done. I need to run back to Mavis with the car first thing in the morning to have them do the alignment again, but after that I'll be free for the rest of the day. It looks good so far though.
