Updated turn signals and flasher relay

I know most of the vocal folks here prefer the stock turn signals, however I do not. I cleaned up the stock fender on the new-to-me 04 FZ1 I got recently and finally got around to installing turn signals and a new LED compatible flasher relay.

I thought about getting TST turn signals and their relay/bracket but for less than half the price I took a chance on some Amazon junk and to my surprise they're all very good quality. The signals themselves were $16 for a set of four (I might put a pair on my 02 FZ1 before I sell it) and compared to the cheapo front flush mount signals I bought a few weeks ago these have wiring that actually feels decent, with nice bullet connectors for a simple installation to the factory wiring.

I was also very surprised by the flasher relay. There seems to be so much junk for sale, but the one I got was a direct fit for the Gen I FZ1, it had a connector that was a direct plug-in to the factory harness and all my LED signals flash normally now.

I also upgraded my rear brake/running bulbs with LEDs. Sylvania ZEVO 1157 in Red; they work great in the stock housings and look just as good as the factory (if not better.) The standard filament bulbs worked fine, however I wanted to lessen the electrical load.

Congrats! Say I just installed LED bulbs on my 2001 FZ1. They are very bright, love that, however I have the Hyper flash going on. What relay did you get? I need the exact one it sounds like. I need the plug and play model. Appreciate

I had the plug in resistor for a while, then it failed. Have an in-line resistor from Superbright that now works 80 % of the time, hyper flash 20%. The hyper flash probably gives a better alert as to my intensions. I use hand signals as well most of the time ..........if only they had a hyper hand signal without having a neurological disorder.

I used this one however one thing I learned is that the flash rate is different depending on system voltage. It flashes faster while riding, but at idle or ignition off it flashes slower. Still not a deal breaker for me, I'm happy as long as this thing doesn't fail in a year.

Hey would you post a link to the led signals you used please and thank you!

I have some teeny indicators on the front that are unfeasibly bright, I used the same on my XT125 rebuild.
The lights are OK, but, as been mentioned before, the wiring is very feeble
I've always used the cheap chinese flasher relays from ebay, some of which are adjustable
