Never thought I’d see this day but regretfully it is here. Up for sale, 2003 Yamaha FZ1. I’m the second owner of this FZ having purchased it in 2009 from the original owner with only 3k miles. Current mileage is 40k. Bike has been stored inside its entire life and been exquisitely maintained and adult ridden, not trashed. Dyno’d before and after professional mods (to document gains in conjunction with Ivan) at 140hp (my understanding was that was a rear wheel measurement at the ground). Bike is a delight and runs as good or better than new. Bike comes with a large assortment of original and aftermarket parts and accessories in addition to what is listed below. Mobil 1 full synthetic oil and either a Mobil 1 or Bosch oil filter every 3k miles for life.

I was a religious user of FZ1OA for years and incorporated every mod from those discussions into this bike.

UPGRADES:
-Custom modified fuel tank holds approx 6.7 gallons, professionally done. Extends range to 250 miles +. Tank is indistinguishable from the original unless comparing side by side. Super stealth mod.
-2007 R1 forks and larger 6 pot radial brakes
-R1 wheels
-Penske shock (rebuilt last year)
-Multiguage/Gauge of Eternal Coolness purchased from Christian Vieth
-Thinner Cometic head gasket and hand timed cams
-Port matched carb boots with all head flashing removed and professionally contoured
-Ivan’s jet kit and airbox mod with K&N filter
-Akrapovic exhaust
-R6 rear caliper
-Custom seat
-Yamaha factory lowers
-Givi luggage
-LED light upgrades
-Chain oiler
-Tire pressure monitors
-Fresh wheel bearings
-Fresh chain sprockets
-Upgraded brake master cylinder and braided lines
-Oxford Heated grips
-Rizoma handlebar
-Rear hugger
-Powdercoated pegs
-Custom windscreen (2 factory units included, the standard screen and the touring screen)
-Upgraded horn
-Garmin GPS
-Lowered foot pegs included but not installed
-Yamaha bike cover
-numerous spare parts come with the bike

I’ve tried to include everything, but I’m sure I’ve missed a few small details. Happy to answer any questions you may have on bike, mods, maintenance, additional/spare parts, etc… $4100. Offers taken. Located Middle TN.

Love it! Certainly one of the nicer ones from FZ1OA. The suspension takes it to another level. Dirt Road Seat? Braided lines, 1 up 1 back risers,

What does the LED on the left hand control indicate or is it not a LED (your 4518 pic).

The MG/GOEC supports screen toggling. I installed a momentary switch on the left control so I can toggle screens on the MG.

Background on the tank: I came across a guy in Europe a few years ago who took his FZ tank, cut it lengthwise and welded in a 40mm band to rejoin the halves. I did the same, worked with a professional welder and an award winning custom paint and body guy locally. They both did fantastic work. You can’t feel the seam on the tank decal it is so well done - completely smooth. Paint matched perfectly. Adds approx 1.25 gallons capacity. I invested over $600 in the job - it is perfect:) Added a couple extra frame rubber mounts under the tank for extra support and I insulated/heat shielded the tank from below. If I’m riding conservatively, range is at/near 300 miles.
