Due to a terms of service change, free accounts can no longer host 3rd party photos.

All the photos I was linking via Photobucket no longer appear here or on any websites that I frequent.

They just have a message that 3rd party hosting has been disabled along with a photobucket logo.

Get this, they want $399 (per year) to allow 3rd party hosting from now on. They can go and get well and truly farked!

Wow, thanks for posting this. This seems like a stupid move on all fronts and I will now delete all my photos off of there and try to close my account. $400 a year is taking the piss to say the least.

I deleted all my photos and also deleted my account. I've lost 10 years of pictures hosted on various websites all over the web, to say I'm unhappy is an understatement.
Photobucket can go f#@k themselves, the blackmailing thieves.
 
Damn! That sucks! I'm fortunate that I've never used them but for those that did, this is like blackmail to share your photos. Class-Action lawsuit?
 
If their upgraded plans were reasonably priced then I would have paid but to charge people $400 per year is an absolute joke. They are just going to alienate their users who will go elsewhere.
 
I've noticed the advertising pop-ups on Photobucket getting worse too. It has become almost unusable in the last 6 months. Bye-bye Photobucket.
