I don't know if I'm the only one, but when there are other bikes around when I'm parking I get excited. On top of that when it's nights like this, I get even more excited. I went down to the local multiplex theater to watch Elysium (it was good by the way) and the place is surrounded by an outdoor shopping mall. The bikes usually all park on the sidewalk of one of the entrance ways that has some good shade in the later parts of the day (premium parking in AZ summer). I pull in there tonight and this girl is getting off her Speed Triple in brit green. I look past her and there is a Tuono V4 in sexy black, and past that is an R6 in the yellow and black and across the way is a Ducati Monster in Red. Pretty much those are all of my favorite looking bikes. :thewave: It was probably so packed with awesome rides because it was Friday night, because normally during the week it's janky old cruisers and Ninja 250s. I know there are a lot of guys on here that have been riding long enough to like all rides, but certain bikes just get me excited. Am I alone in this fervor? or Do you guys get excited when you see certain bikes?

I love seeing bikes you don't typically see everyday myself and that's why enjoy bike nights so much. Even when I go to Americade I always find some fascinating machinery there among the sea of H-Ds.

Yeah, it is not just you. I am the same way. Like Tony I seem to appreciate them all. I really appreciate it when a sexy girl is getting off of her crotch rocket. ...preferable in full leathers! Mmmmmmm.....

I swear I'm more interested in bikes than I am girls. Even my girlfriend noticed that I stare at bikes more than girls. I'm picky, though. I don't give two shits about your generic sportbike or some obnoxious Ducati, nor do I care about a greasy pirate aboard his ship. Those bikes don't interest me in the slightest.

Just like with girls, I pretty much ignore anything flashy, garish, obnoxious or just clearly trying to get noticed. Those aren't the real beauties, anyway.

around here in NH everyone is a harley guy. not many sport bikes around. I saw a group of guys riding ducatti street fighters the other day. great look and sound. I love my fz1 but if i had the loot I think i might pick up a street fighter.

and Yes I agree, I love parking with other bikes. It is like you are part of some unspoken club of awesomeness.

Bike whore

I tell my wife I'm a bike whore! And she agrees!! When we are out and about I checkout every bike we see,I tell her the make the model and any add-ons I notice. Not to brag but admire.I love every style of bike for the most part they have their own advantages and disadvantages.I had cruisers, tourer's and sport touring .I think I have found my nitch in this category...... Loves'em all I do:unworthy:

That's one of the reasons I like going to a MotoGP or World Superbike race, especially at Laguna Seca, you'll see acres and acres of bikes of all sorts. I'll spend an hour or two walking up and down the lot checking them all out. You'll see box stock 250's and highly modified street legal race bikes, something for everyone.

Then you had to love the girl getting off the 2012 retro R6 in A Good Day to Die Hard (last one in the Die Hard series).

Doing the N conversion is a good compromise. I really liked the look of the Duc but wanted a 4-cyl and Japanese reliability so that's what I did. I was checking out a Streetfighter the other day and I have to say I'm still pretty happy with my Yamaha.

I know what you mean, most of the sportbikes I could care less about, the GSXR or Ninja sportbikes. I just have a thing for all things Yamaha, I'm becoming very brand loyal. The funny thing too is I was really lusting after the Tuono V4 and seeing it in person I wasn't as wooed, and kept wanting to be on my Fz1. It's like experiencing the effects of airbrushing if you meet a famous person.

BTW greasy pirate, hilarious.

I like Ducati designs, they make a sexy looking bike in all but the Panigale in my opinion.

Definitely awesome. I didn't take a pic because the girl was still stowing here gear on the Triump and I didn't want to seem like a creep, and I was late for my movie. When I came out there was only the Speed Triple and a GSXR600 which is not as inspiring.

I think I'll have to go to Laguna Seca next year

You're not alone in loving to see bikes like that. The other day I went into a cycle place and saw a mid 80's Interceptor 700 (tariff years so they made the 50cc's smaller). Having owned a 1984 interceptor 500, it brought back soo many memories. The controls were all virtually identical, gauges etc... It was also in awesome shape. Simple things like that can make your day. <-- that's when you know you love motorcycles.

I had the opportunity to go into Faye Myers near Denver.... ooohh my!!!

If anyone likes to see lots of bikes you need to stop in at the Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, AL, probably the finest motorcycle museum in the world. Just a fantastic collection of all things motorcycle and displayed in an innovative manner. Worth the detour necessary to get to this mecca of motorcycle history....World class all the way. I've been twice and always come away slack jawed at the machinery on display. They have about 600 bikes on display at any one time (their collection has a total of about 1200 bikes), and they are so well preserved that 99% of them can be made rode worthy in about an hour.

Ditto. A woman who rides a brit green triple...I must find her.
You should see the turn out for MOTO GP here in Indy. About 5 blocks worth of street lined with all sorts of eye candy.
