Brake lever won't actuate brake light

Hello all,

Last night I went out on a ride with a buddy, and discovered that when I depress the front brake lever, the brake light does not actuate. However, the rear brake pedal will turn the brake light on. As of right now it's not an emergency because I regularly apply both brakes when stopping. I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with this. I took a quick glance at the electrical connections at the brake lever, and they seem to be in good order. I'll be taking a closer look at wiring later, but figured I'd ask if anybody has ever seen this before.

Could be that the switch is stuck. Happens sometimes. I think a small amount of WD-40 would fix it. Or, you could just replace the switch, I think it is less than $15 on the OEM parts sites.

I'll take a look at the actuator switch first thing after work. It sounds like it's clicking shut alright, but I'll bust it open. Thanks!

You were right, took the switch off and sprayed some brake cleaner through it and blew it out. Worked like a charm! Thanks again.
