How old are you?

I especially like the 1996-1999. It was the 919 motor that my... 919 is based off.

I love the little holes in the fairings like a MotoGP bike

here is my RC51 from back in the day :)

I got my fz1 at age 38

Experience and a bit of self control, not age is required for larger, powerful bikes. Luck never hurts too. I think I have experience and luck.

I definitely agree BDazzler. Many people automatically assume that I'm just a crazy young rider who's going to kill himself, but in reality, I'm really a very alert and responsible rider, and I wear ATGATT no matter what. I'm in college trying to work my way into UC Davis then med school, so I have some real goals to work for. Hopefully, way down the road I'll be an orthopedic surgeon and be able to say that I've been riding since I was 17, and I'm still around to talk about it!

Excellent! My ortho might as well be my main healthcare provider!

I certainly wouldn't recommend the FZ1 to a 17 year old, but it sounds like you are doing it right. I say that because most 17 year olds are testing limits, and its better to find the limits of a Ninja 250 than an FZ1 (or 600 super sport). I dont believe you are the typical 17 (now 19) year old. Good luck with school.

I'm a Chiro and I have to share this joke, and I don't mean it to be offensive, just a fun jab.

What's the difference between God and an Orthopedic surgeon?

God doesn't think He's an Orthopedic surgeon.

I know some great orthos and have fun at them. Stay safe on that bike. Your future patients may be from this forum! Med school can be tough, but its just a semester at a time.
