so i decided to tackle all my mods myself. i mean with all the wonderful info on this site how could you not. i am no mechanic by any means, so when i got everything apart it was a little overwhelming, but with this site i got it done. my ecu is on its way to Ivan :) so im planning on having everything done by the time its back. today i ran my pcv, removed ais, jb welded plates, cut up airbox and plugged ais hole, and gutted cat. is there anything im forgetting before i hook ecu back up?

invest in a quality steering stabilizer before you change any other aspect of your suspension.

I've got the rear up 5mm and the front is lowered by around 10-15mm and I don't find the bike's handling nervous at all.
Quality suspension that is set up well, reduces any nervousness even more.
They long wheelbase also helps to make the bike very stable.
If I was still doing trackdays and really into it then I would probably get one.
I just don't ride like that on the street any more.
I suppose it depends upon how hard you ride your bike and more importantly, your throttle inputs/riding smooth.

i will do the fuel line. i also have the 16t sprocket but gonna wait and see how it runs after reflash and other mods. im a bit of a top speed freak. i havent messed with suspension and it sure does need it, but will have to wait for now.

Actually, my bike is more stable after the suspension upgrades. I PERSONALLY have never had the FZ1 head-shake and if it was going to, I would have experienced it by now. I have experience the self correcting wiggle that happens when you set the front tire down with it slightly turned. That ain't head shake.
