So, I have always disliked the slip-on exhaust style of the FZ1, so I knew at some point I would want to change it. I asked Marthy if he could make a midship exhaust like the FZ6R, or his newly designed FZ8 exhaust. My challenge was making it work with the center stand. I feel that Marthy could have made it work had I chosen a different can, the one that I picked is a little bigger since it is the tri-oval. So unfortunately, I had to lose my centerstand, but the results make it really hard to be upset about it. Check it out:

That looks killer!!! One step from MotoGP, or maybe even a little shorter!! Nice work. How does it sound?? Audio clip is a must!

THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT SOUND!

It was late, and I like my neighbors, so I kept it quiet. I need to hook up the autotune so that I can get a good map. Marthy is going to help with that too. I will get some video when I can.

That really shows off the seldom see right side of the swing arm. I couldn't loose my center stand, but that is a nice look. How does it effect ground clearance?

I am sure that I am going to miss the center stand, but I figured I will just get a nicer rear stand for maintenance, which is the only time that I use the center stand.

Maybe the pictures don't show, but the pipe pretty much sits right where the center stand does, so it may lower clearance on that side by 1" maximum, basically will not effect riding.

i don't know if that guy(marthy) told you that he make that exhaust because that exhaust you fitted is a danmoto jisu slip-on

Yea, that is the slip on. If you get that, it will be just like the stock FZ1 exhaust. Long and mounted on the swing arm. He modified FZ1 headers to allow for the can to be mounted under the bike, which also required shortening of the can.

That looks fantastic! That's the sort of thing I was after when I changed my exhaust to a shorty style. I was never a fan of 4 foot long cans extending all the way out the side of the bike. I just didn't want to have to modify the stock headers because I wanted to be able to switch back to the stock exhaust easily.

Wow... I love the look of yours though. So jealous. :worship:

Marthy has reasonable rates. I know he is in Italy for a week or so, but when he gets back, he can respond. Check his site out here:
