What kind of PC are you using? and 32bit or 64bit if using Windows?

As long as you are talking about setting up your gopro. Has anyone used the suction cup mount compared to the helment mount. Also if you have used either how well have they held on at speeds without the scare of it breaking off and falling.

I use the suction cup pretty much exclusively. Always tie a tether just in case though. I have put it on my helmet and swing the thing all over and never budged. As long as you can find the flattest surface to mount it.

Never seen a sticky come off either as long as the surface was properly cleaned before mounting.

I had a stick on mount come unstuck from my radiator cover on my Gen2. Cleaned with 91% alcohol and not used for more than 24 hours after application. I had another not stay attached to my Givi topbox.

:doh2: Dang... that sucks. Looks like I will be tethering no matter what mount I use.

A tether is always a good idea. I prefer to use the ram mounts when possible.

I usually use a piece of paracord tied to the mount and then either my chin strap or if mounted to the bike, whatever is near by. Frame, mirror, passenger peg mount, etc. Burrned the end of the paracord so it does not fray.

I just grab a piece of speaker wire and tie it to the camera and to the bike. Just what I had at the moment, was pretty flexible and coated with rubber.

I use many things depending on the mount position. I sometimes use fishing line leaders. I prefer the coated stainless steel. I connect it to the door hinge. I find shoe laces work great. I don't use a tether with the Ram mounts.
