FZ1 vs. CB1000R

but you get a fancy NEW payment and insurance...:stirpot:

Not just that but the CB1000R has insurance rates of a CBR1000.

I really like them a lot, especially since owning a Honda 599. I would love to have one and they always seem to do well in reviews. Its just the insurance that is the main killing point.

Just don't ride one till you can afford it.. I made this terrible mistake and my gen1 felt like a dinosaur after ...

cb1000r is too small I got cramps just sitting on it in the showroom.

thanks for the advice, i am very happy with my ivanized gen1, it is a bit old school like myself. curious to your thoughts about that k bike, could you give it a quick riding review?

I tested both k12 and k13, compared to gen1 low speed cornering is a bit harder at first, med and high are effortless and gives you more confidence.

One of my riding buddies has a k12s and we both use bridgestone s20 so the tires are the same.

Brakes on the K are amazing, assisted+abs.. this would be my no1 reason to change the fizzy for a K

He uses less fuel then my fz1..in the exact same riding conditions

bmw side-cases look good on the bike, perfect for a week ride

compared to modded gen1 , k is not much faster

now the min

-gearbox clunks
-suspension is only for very good roads
-low rpm power is ... not there
-maintenance costs

Now for the cost... fizzy offers more bike for less money, I'm waiting for a gen3, if that doesn't happen in 2014 I will consider a K-bike

Thanks for the review. My cage is a BMW so I knew the up front and maintenance would be much more but am glad to hear your riding impressions. Well done sir! I think I am of the same mind set as you. I, as well, will wait for a gen3 to come out then decide.
