Ok guys Im gonna be picking up a Powercommander in the next few weeks. Wondering where to get it for the best price. Suggestions? Indysuperbike?

That depends. If you have or are planning on doing a bunch of mods, buy from Ivan so you can get his map. There are a lot of decent maps available on this site but none like Ivan's. Its worth paying extra for the PCV.

I get mine (When I sell exhausts with full package) from Solomotoparts.com Email Tyler over there, he's a great guy to deal with. He might be able to get you a good deal with the block off plates. Mention Marthy suggest me to contact you...

This is what I did. Plus, if you want the FCE and smaller sub-throttle plates, you can get a package deal from Ivan.

I don't remember exactly, but all it takes is a phone call to Ivan's shop to find out exactly what it cost. His website list the FCE @ $195 and his pricing on the PC3 or 5 was competitive when I purchased a couple years ago. His map is good and I expect it to be even better with the Yosh system.

When Ivan quoted me a package " deal " last year I was very disappointed. His " deal " was still way more expensive than ordering from other dealers online.
Ivan does offer a complete package that's proven to work. So spending a few extra bucks may be worth it to you.
I'm very content with the mods in my signature and running Dukes perfection map and no FCE.
indysuperbikes or hardracing usually have decent prices on power commanders

This is more along the lines of what I was thinking. Should I get dynoed with the map to see if it needs adjusting or tweaking?

I got mine from Motomummy and while the price was great, they are not the fastest company for filling and shipping an order. So use them if you are not in a hurry. Indysuperbike will beat Motomummy's price and offers up free shipping often but I'm not aware of their stock or shipping times.
Make sure you order the correct part number. There are a few part numbers for the 8 years of FZ1 bikes. I can tell you that the part number for the 2009 FZ1 included the O2 eliminator and will work on the '08!

Having the bike dynoed is idea but I have not and I'm very happy with how my bike is running.
When you consider the price of a dyno tune compared to Ivans package deal
Ivans price is not so bad. You do get a proven package from Ivan that works.
My deciding factor was the FCE I did not want to install one. Just not comfortable cutting up the factory wiring and I've seen quite a few have had issues with loose connections or a bad FCE. You lose your warranty
on the FCE if you solder the connections
Ivans maps are designed around a package that includes the FCE.
That said my FZ1 is a 2011 and the fuel cut off does not seem to be a big issue for me. Your 2008 may benefit more from the FCE than some of the later bikes. Yamaha seemed to make a big improvements in the on/off throttle smoothness on the later models. If your 2008 has jerky throttle response especially when going from closed to open throttle the FCE may be a good addition for you.
If I was in your situation, I would decide if I wanted to use the FCE and if I went with the FCE I would also get the power commander and maps from Ivan.
Ivans price for the PCV was $50-$60 more than other prices I found when I purchased. Considering you get his maps, support and benefit from all his development work its a fair price.
I asked Ivan for a package price for a PCV, ignition module, full exhaust, filter, FCE and flies.
His total for everything but the FCE was about $300 more than the lowest prices I could find. $50-$60 more for both the PCV and IGN module and $200 more for the exhaust.
