If you could paint your bike.. what color would you choose?

I really like the metallic cobalt blue on my 07 but would like to see what could be done with some silver accents to offset the dark blue (fading the blue into the silver would be cool). The black rims are another area of the bike that I would like to add some type of accent, possibly the silver again. I wish there was a way to add paint accents similar to how boat companies do on their web sites, just to mess around with paint and graphic ideas on bikes.

Do you have any pics CG?
I know i can find the stock pics online.. i just like to see the pictures others take of their own bikes. in the elements and such lol

I really like that color Utah.
Its definitely different, and part of me wants to go for different with this, but the other part just wants to do gloss black haha, I love it!

Any ideas for a black bike? How can i make it "original"?

Have you seen the Harley Davidson Black Denim? It is a matte black that looks pretty nice. You can see it on their website. I really like it, I think when I bob my Sporty I am going to go with that color.

I can't remember who just posted it but they put the two white stripes down the middle of the cobalt blue... I was considering that as well but using a silver/gray metallic instead of white. Then, since I traded out wheels with the my wife and have black now, getting the same silver color wheel stripes.

I'm with you Eric. I think the simple racing stripes on Copperdawgs bike scream muscle car (bike!). I might add a thin pin stripe to the egde of the main stripes to mimic the old Chevy SS stripes. I think it would look good in silver or grey too.

Pat does have one sweet bike!! I dont think the stripes would look as cool without his screen and cowl.the stipes would be too broken up without them. All this has me thinking about some silver stripes on my bike.

Wow, that is one hell of a paint job. I would buy a raven windscreen asap before I painted, however I would have to leave the rear seat so I dont know if it would look as good. Very cool though.. Perhaps black bike with white stripes..?
Thanks CG, I do love that blue..
And Utah, yeah thats the color I was looking at for awhile. I think I have narrowed it to gloss black and a metallic/electric blue. (Though I may now be throwing on racing stripes)

Great ideas in here... I like the gunmetal gray, or the electric blue/silver combo ideas. I generally don't let myself think like this, otherwise, I get in trouble...

I still love that very picture and that is what inspired me to buy his stuff. I think he should have gotten the Evotech exhaust hanger (or made his own) and gotten rid of the pillion brackets and pegs. Not like he's taking anyone out riding on that beast!

I'm thinking a dark-ish shade of silver with metal flake.

Personally I'm not a big fan of dark colored bikes...don't know why, but I like "bright" bikes.

A red/white or bright blue paint job always looks great to me ;)

So what about a dark blue?

Disregard, I just saw that you said bright blue : oops:
I've always just been into darker, I think it totally depends on the person that is driving the bike though. Some of you guys can pull off the bright ones! Personally, I dont believe that I can :(

I prefer the brighter blue that Yamaha used on the Gen I FZ1 vs the darker blue used on the Gen II one.
