I was telling my mother about the cost to have tires mounted and she said I should be able to do it myself. After watching MrTwisty (from the fjriders forum) "spoon" on a used front to replace my worn one after the Twisty Butt, I think she's probably right. He only had minimal tools, no fancy tire changer etc. A couple of pieces of wood the edge of his truck and POP! bead broken.
(But not in the drizzle, if you look under the truck, you can see the block where it landed after slipping.)
What it the minimum I need to change tires myself? I don't have a big truck like he does and even if I did, not sure I'd want to use it in that manner.
thanks,
