Stealing water

This whole subject may sound strange to anyone who hasn't lived in the Southwest, especially New Mexico, Arizona, California, and probably Nevada, Utah too. Many of the desert states get only the water that comes down from the north. We just happen to spend the winters many years along the Colorado and if the water was cut off up river, there simply would be no Phoenix, L.A. or many, many other municipalities that don't have their own water supply but rely on what comes from elsewhere. By the time you get down to Yuma, the colorado is a trickle, everyone gets a little all the way down. Quite amazing actually.
